A non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required at the time of booking and must be sent with the completed booking form. The balance of the holiday price is due 8 weeks prior to the departure date. If this last payment does not reach us by the date specified, Philip Dunn reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit. If a booking is made 8 weeks or less before the departure date the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Cancellation must be made in writing. The date the letter is received by us before departure date determines the cancellation charges applicable. These charges are expressed as a percentage of the total tour price, and are as follows: More than 28 days: 50%.More than 15 days: 70%. 15 days or less before departure 100%. If the cancellation is covered under the terms of an insurance policy you may be able to relaim these charges. We reserve the right to change or cancel your course. The very nature of the course offered requires flexibility by all parties and must allow for alternatives. For this reason the outline itinerary and holiday description must be taken as an indication of what may take place on the holiday, and not as a contractual obligation. Receipt of a deposit does not imply acceptance of a booking. Philip Dunn will confirm acceptance of your booking in writing. In cases where Philip Dunn has not arranged flight bookings as an agent of Celtic Holidays, and has received no payment for the same, he will not refund the costs of that flight in the event of a course cancellation. It is one of the terms of the contract between us that you take out your own full travel insurance, and you should certainly do this on any flight bookings you make yourself (See below).

If the minimum number of bookings required to run a course is not met, and if Philip Dunn has to cancel a course for this reason, he will not do so less than 30 days prior to departure. In the event of John Glover being unable to attend due to illness or other circumstances beyond his control, the course will be cancelled and your own travel insurance should insure you against this unlikely possibility. Philip Dunn reserves the right to change any of the prices, service or other particulars at any time. If there is any change, he will notify you immediately. Where airport/hotel transfers are part of the cost of the holiday, such transfers are only included when participants travel on the flights specified by Philip Dunn. If you arrive or depart on different flights you will be responsible for your own transfer costs and arrangements.

Neither Philip Dunn nor John Glover accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services through weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods, sickness or force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are the responsibility of the passenger. Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions. Neither Philip Dunn nor John Glover accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the booking form. Any claims shall be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the sole domain of the English courts.
You must communicate any perceived failure in the performance of this contract at the time to us and give us the opportunity to arrive at a satisfactory solution. It is a term of the contract between us that you will obtain the appropriate travel insurance cover before you set out on the holiday. The insurance must cover the loss, expenses and damages arising from, including but not limited to, the cancellation of the holiday (whether in whole or in part), personal accident, death and injury, medical and repatriation costs (for overseas holidays), loss of baggage and personal money and effects and flight cancellations and delays.
Philip Dunn and John Glover reserve the right to provide an alternative tutor in the event of John Glover’s inability to attend due to ill-health or other emergency. All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and all visas, permits and certificates, including medical certificates, E111, required for the whole of the journey and the client accepts responsibility for obtaining the same. All information and advice given by Philip Dunn/John Glover is given in good faith. By signing the booking form, you are agreeing to accept all these conditions. The person who signs the booking form does so on behalf of all the individuals included on it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions.
Although it is unlikely that we will need to make changes to your holiday unless they are imposed on us by flight schedule alterations, we reserve the right to do so subject to complying with the conditions herein set out. Most such changes would be minor and will be notified to you as quickly as possible. If a major change (such as alteration of flight departure or return by more than 12 hours) occurs (unless caused by force majeure - see 11 above) you will have the choice of accepting the change or cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund. In all cases we will pay compensation as detailed below. Period before departure within which change is notified to you: 42 days = £10 compensation per person. 14 days = £20. Up to time of departures = £30. Compensation will not be payable if we are forced to cancel or in any way change your holiday due to war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, fire, adverse weather conditions or other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

Philip Dunn is acting as an agent for Travelwise International Ltd, Mancherster, in the sale of this holiday which is protected under their Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL). In the unlikely event of their insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking.
